Training Goals
2010

So here are my training Goals - and my dreams/fantasies - for the 2010 race year.


1. Be Team Z Top 10 at Ironman Wisconsin
(Probably will need to be at least 12:50 to do this)

2. Adjust body composition to 65 kg (evening weight) at 8-10% body fat
(Starting: 82 kg at 25% body fat)

3. Raise bike FTP to 260 watts
(Highest FTP in 2009 was 200w)

4. Raise running vDot to 50
(Starting vDot is 42, highest vDot achieved in last 2 years was 45)

5. Complete two 50 mile ultramarathons in 2010, run at least one of them in under 10 hours

6. Improve swimming technique so that I can swim a 1:20-1:25 Ironman course
(Equates to ~2:05-2:15/100m pace)

7. Do 95+% of all scheduled workouts
Hit 95+% of all power/pace targets during intervals
NO EXCUSES!

8. Break the TSDIS/PPS GSFC 2-mile Fun Run Record of 12:20

9. Switch to running only in VFF's by end of year

10. Redeem myself for my 2009 Ironman Canada performance
